How to connect a Microphone to your phone

The Rode Mic worked great for me

With facebook live, youtube, Vimeo, podcasts, and countless other publishing sites giving you the opportunity to create your own content, is easier to publish and be heard, and once you get in, you know your audio is one of the most important things to consider.

Hot to make it work for you

This is what you get plus the windsock. but you need a converter for your phone to recognize the plug as a microphone not headphones. Is called a TRS to TRRS Patch Cable and what this does is just routing the connections where they supposed to go.

so you will soon discover that with the phone, you need to unplug this in order to listen to what you just recorded. Bummer. The solution is...

3.5mm Combo Audio Adapter Cable, and the little drawings on the plug itself tulles you what to connect where.

In other words. You will need extra cable to isolate the mic input. Like this one. https://amzn.to/2MNKplg

And a bracket or mount for the mic separately from the phone because the mic weight would be too much for the gimbal of the Osmo. And I did a small video how to help the osmo to deal with an Plus size phone. https://youtu.be/pJ8eDhXfmMI
